Chinese Chicken Herbal Soup Recipe




Ingredients:
  • Chicken frames with breast - 4 pieces
  • Water - 1.2 litre
  • Salt - to  taste
Herbs:
  • Solomon's Seal (Yu Zhu)
  • Wolfberries (Gei Ji)
  • Astragalus Root (Bei Qi)
  • Dried Chinese Yam (Huai Shan)
  • Codonopsis Root (Dang Shen)
  • Black Dates
  • Dried Scallops
  • Cordyceps Flower

Procedure:
  1. Clean and wash the Chicken frames and herbs with water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil and put the chicken into the pot. Let it boil for few minutes. This is to remove the scum.
  3. Done. Take the chicken frames out. 
  4. Bring the water to a boil in new soup pot. Put the cleaned chicken frames into the pot and herbs as well.
  5. So let it boil with small fire for at least 2 hour. This is to bring out the sweetness and more flavorful soup.
  6. Done. So just put a pinch of salt to taste. It's ready to serve!
